Q: I would like to volunteer more, but it's hard to know where to go to help. Can the Junior League of Wilmington offer me volunteer experiences?

A: Yes. The Junior League of Wilmington has a wide range of opportunities to volunteer. The JLW does not only offer you many different types of volunteer opportunities, but we will provide you with the training you need and want to make you an effective volunteer. In fact, many of our members go on to hold Board positions in many of the non-profit organizations in the area as a result of the training they received in the League.

Q: Between work and my family, I don't have a lot of time to give to volunteer work. Are any of the activities of the Junior League of Wilmington done during evening or weekend hours?

A: Yes. Volunteer opportunities with the Junior League of Wilmington are varied enough to offer something for everyone's schedule. The JLW recognizes that today's lifestyles are hectic. We are a membership driven organization, and offer volunteer opportunities to accommodate daytime, evening, and weekend availability.

Q: My job requires that I be willing to move for new career opportunities. What happens if I join the JLW and get transferred?

A: Becoming a member of the Junior League of Wilmington means that you are also a member of the international organization. There are 293 Junior Leagues throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Great Britain. Annually, Junior League members from other cities are transferred to the Wilmington area and join the JLW. Their association with the Junior League proves a benefit, as the JLW acts as a resource in the relocation process, and a great way to meet new people after making your move.

Q: If I order an item on your Web site, how long will it be until I receive my order?

A: Unless otherwise stated on your order, we ship within 2 to 3 business days of receiving your order. We generally ship items via First Class Mail but may use another delivery service, depending on the size of your order.
